We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer / Setter to join our growing manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled machinist with strong HAAS machine experience to work in a modern production environment producing high-quality precision components.
The Role
As a CNC Programmer / Setter, you will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines to manufacture components to engineering drawings and customer specifications. You will play a key role in maintaining quality standards, improving production efficiency, and ensuring work is completed safely and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Program, set, and operate CNC milling machines
- Produce precision components to engineering drawings and specifications
- Perform first-off and in-process quality inspections
- Optimise machining processes to improve efficiency and reduce downtime
- Troubleshoot machining and programming issues
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area
- Work closely with production and quality teams to meet customer deadlines
Requirements
Essential
- Proven experience as a CNC Programmer / Setter
- Strong experience programming and setting HAAS CNC machines
- Solid machining and CNC milling knowledge
- Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings
- Experience with offline programming
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Working Hours
Rotating Shift Pattern (Monday to Friday)
- 06:00 – 14:00
- 14:00 – 22:00
Salary & Benefits
- £31,200–£40,950 per annum, depending on experience
